Performance First
Speed gets decided early, so we start there. Small pages, images sized properly, nothing heavy running for no reason. The test is never your laptop on office wifi. It's a mid-range phone on a bad afternoon.
About
We're a design studio in Nairobi. We build websites, and we care as much about how they run as how they look. In practice that means pages that load fast on an ordinary phone, code someone else can pick up later, and the search basics handled properly the first time round.

Someone will open this project a year from now, and it might not be us. So we keep it readable. Adding a page later should take an afternoon. On plenty of sites it takes a rebuild, and that was a choice somebody made early on.
Layouts people can read without working at it. We settle the spacing, the movement and how it behaves on a phone at the same time rather than one after the other, because doing it in that order is where most sites come apart.
Proper markup, real page titles, metadata that says something. We do it while we build. Bolting it on six months later, once the traffic hasn't turned up, costs more and works less well.
You will know what we are building, what it costs and when it goes live. If something slips you hear it from us first, not when you notice the date has quietly moved.
What you get when clarity meets
We start with what the business is for and who it needs to reach. What you sell, who buys it, and why they pick you over the other option. Most of the decisions that matter get made in this part.
Then we design it. Every section is there for a reason and has something to do, so someone scrolling has a path through the thing instead of a wall of content to get past.
We build it, connect whatever it needs to talk to, and put it live. After that the site takes some of the load off you. It answers the obvious questions, and the people who do get in touch have already decided.
This is the part people actually see. Layout, type, colour, the way things move when you scroll. We build it as a system rather than a set of pages, so adding something next year does not mean designing the whole thing again.
Sites that are quick on launch day and still quick a year later. We keep the number of moving parts down to what the project needs. Less to break, less to slow it down, less for the next person to untangle.
Before anything gets drawn. What is this site for, and who has to understand it in five seconds. Get that part wrong and the rest is a well-built answer to the wrong question.
Design, build, and the thinking behind both. Same people, start to finish.
